Where to Measure
C Waist:
Without bending measure around your waist making sure the tape measure feels comfortable, not overtight or too loose.

D Hips:
Measure around the widest part of your hips and bum.

E Outside leg:
Biking trousers are designed to sit slightly higher than everyday trousers.
Find a comfortable point above the waistband of a normal pair of trousers (closer to your actual waist - see point C on the diagram).
Without bending, measure from thispoint over your hip bone right down to the bottom of your feet (remember to make an allowance for boots or shoes).

Spada Modena Short WP Trousers: Motorcycle touring trousers

These waterproof trousers from Spada are great for both commuting and touring, with an abrasion resistant outer shell made of Ballistic material and Cordura. Cooling Ventech zipped vents on the upper leg mean you can get a cooling breeze when the temperature rises, while the waterproof membrane, external storm flap and water-resistant adjustable lower leg gussets all work together to ensure you reach your destination with dry legs.

The protection you want. The mens Spada Modena trousers are a great pair of basic touring trousers, but at such a great price point, you can't expect titanium armour! What they do have though, is CE certified Tektoform soft knee protectors and soft hip pads. These protectors and the abrasion resistant outer make the Spada Modena trousers a fairly protective pair of trousers for the price point.
